Happy New year Lord now what! D5

Morning all,  so it's day five of me trying to make a point to stretch and trying to change my poor eating habits. So and now 204 as of this morning. Not bad actually it's a slow process nothing fast everlast. I do like the concept of Christian yoga because it does give me the opportunity to sit still. I feel that my mind always racing even when I'm sleeping. So sitting back taking a moment talking to God or just being silent with God he's been very helpful and realizing I am so out of shape stretching is so good to line the body the line the back just get you to realize your body your body.

Happy New Year, Lord Now What?

Good morning boys and girls, ladies and gentlemen.

Here is my truth since 2016 of November I worked really hard to get rid of my diabetes type 2. I had help: Jesus,  Phentermine and discipline.

It's now 2019 I ain't got anything but Jesus right now and I've gone from 177 lb to 204 lb and 4 oz.

I go in for my physical in February and I'd like to make sure that I'm still clear of having diabetes. I also need to lose the weight. So for the next 7 days until January 8th ; I'll be sharing my ups and downs. And I hope you also can share yours as well.

If you got any concerns that the Lord is going to be helping you with or is continuing to help you with this year.

I thank him for allowing us to get to 2019 and if we have more years to come great! if we get to see 2020 even better.

This morning I woke up, drink some water, got on the scale, did some yoga through YouTube and I'm going to have my leftovers from yesterday and hopefully I can log in at least under 1800 calories for the day let's see what I do!

Catch you all tomorrow, go with God!

June Self Challenge - Let's Get Health!

Let's Get Health!

Upcoming month of June,  I am issuing a challenge to get physically, mentally, and financially fit!

I'm going to try to make this as simple as I can.

You will be competing with yourself and the prize is a better understanding of you!

Physical challenge - I've come up with a "Birthdate" step challenge.

Starting June 3rd till the 30th ( Sunday to Saturday )

How this works - for the next four weeks you will challenge yourself to complete a certain number of steps based on a birthdate of someone close to you.

  • Week one - your birthday
  • week two - a grandparent/godparent
  • week three - a parent
  • week four - a significant other or a tolerable ex.
How to calculate the step numbers by a birthdate?

Example -  07/20/1977
0+7 = 7
7+2 = 9
9+0 = 9
9+1 = 10
10+9 = 19
19+7 = 26
26+7= 33

Take 33 then add two zeros to equal 3300. Now daily for 7 days, you will muilty this number by the day numeric symbolic date.

For example Sunday equals 1; so 3300*1 = 3300
Monday = 2; 3300*2 = 6,600
Tuesday = 3; 3300*3 = 9,900
Wednesday = 4; 3300*4 = 13,200
Thursday = 5; 3300*5 = 16,500
Friday = 6; 3300*6 = 19,800
Saturday = 7; 3300*7 = 23,100

My total steps for the first week would be 92,400. Now here is a tip; your personal goal is the total steps for the week. So if you could take your total number for the week and divide it by 7. This will allow you to take an equal amount of steps per day to reach your personal weekly goal.

In other words I would 13,200 steps a day to reach 92,400!  Again this is your personal challenge with yourself, so if you wanted to additional workouts you can.

Mental Challenge:
You are not going to make it through this month without thinking differently. If you go into this thinking you can't then you won't. You have to believe you can finish; it's the attempt that is more important that the final outcome.

So here is what you are going to try daily and that is take 30 minutes to yourself. It doesn't have to be 30 minutes straight you can break it up. For example the first you can do when you wake is 10 minutes to clear your mind and simply breathe. During the day find time for another 10 minutes and right before you sleep another.

The point is not to rush yourself to the point that life is passing you by!

Financial Challenge:
Be conscious of what you are spending. Many times we are moving at such a fast pace that we spend and don't take the effort to "see" what we are buying. Sure we balance our checking accounts but that is generally after the funds have already been spent. Using a "checkbook register" app is a good way to see what you are spending at the time you are spending. You might even change your mind about the purchase and use the phone elsewhere.

For example, I kept paying my cable bill which was low to some because I was paying $150 for cable, internet and home security. However it didn't seem right to spend money on something I don't use i.e. the cable. So I cancelled the cable only to find out from the cable company that I didn't need to pay for the equipment and still have cable service by using the internet and save $50 a month!

What you will need:

OK, gals let's get it and see what we can real do! Good Luck and God Bless!  Sheila -
